Oh Rats!
The kids and I were headed home from the store this afternoon and while listening to the radio we heard the DJ commenting on a story about how a 2000 lb. rodent fossil was just discovered. I looked into the rear mirror to see David's jaw just about drop to the floor. He's really interested in this sort of thing (ok, what isn't a five year old boy interested in, except "girly" things and cleaning up after himself?) and he was very impressed with the news story. He was taking it all in and it was very quiet in the car. Then he slowly uttered a single word:
"Ratzilla."
At any rate, this one's certainly got the ROUS's beat.

Ratzilla! Maybe that's what the creature is in that new movie, "Cloverfield"... A giant rat eats Manhattan.

Phil- If I were Ratzilla I think I would eat a tastier city. Like Madrid or something.
Annette- Geo is going to have to make a book about this eventually, right??

I'm curious, has David seen the movie Godzilla, or is "-zilla" just your everyday around the house way to make a noun "gi-normous"? I'm impressed!

Abue- No, he's never seen Godzilla but I'm sure he's heard something about it before. And I think on occasion he has heard me singing the "Go, go, Godzilla" lyric. I am often caught singing random bits of songs that I do not know all the lyrics to. But now that I think of it, we have used "zilla" as a suffix for other names...including "Babyzilla", I'm sure!
