Mountain folk
K and the kids

We just returned from a lovely trip in the White Mountains and are enjoying the last couple days of our vacation. We only spent two days there, but it was plenty and we weren't bored for a minute. There is something to be said for traveling during the off-season. Rates are lower, there's little to no traffic and you don't have to wait in line for anything, which is especially wonderful when traveling with the wee screamers. The kids were awesome and only began to bicker when we were in the car headed home. It seems we left just in time, then.
Here are the kids and I posing on top of Cannon Mountain during our hike along the rim path. The calendar may say it's still summer, but the weather in the mountains is fall all the way.

I'm looking forward to next year when my daughter will get with the homeschooling program and we can schedule our national park trips for fall and spring. Yellowstone mid-September is wonderful -- feels like you have the whole place to yourself at times!

Melissa- Fall indeed! When you start breakin out the fleece jackets, you know it's time...
Phil- Oh, no doubt, and that is exactly what we had in mind because we knew everyone else would be at work and school! We ran into some other homeschoolers and clearly they had the same idea as us!

Thanks, Hann! Well, the hiking sure helps! But it's been nearly six months now since I've had her, which is amazing because the time has just slipped away...

Yup..and look at that yummy mummy's long legs! I sure hope mine look like that..but they still stay so fleshy and err..flabby! I clicked to see more of your pics..just to get motivated to see how slim you are now! (Can you sense the envy?)

Hliza, I'm with you, let's mail some chocolates to her so she can look like a mum who just had a baby. LOL
